Business and Accounting

Modern offices require employees who can use a variety of computer applications in order to keep pace with the business world. One of the most broadly-used software suites in use today is the Microsoft Office suite, which incorporates word-processing, spreadsheets, database management, and visual presentation software in a single package.

Interface College's software applications semester prepares students to take the Microsoft Office User Specialist certifications in all four of the Microsoft Office programs.

The business program at Interface also offers courses in desktop publishing, accounting, office/business administration, keyboarding, ten-key and customer service.

Students with and without experience in a professional office environment find these programs a challenging step up to better pay and broader career choices.

The goal of the software applications semester is to prepare students to take the Microsoft Office Specialist certification exams in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
